Also, Does anyone know how to fix this? It is a vent window latch. I believe all it needs is a new screw but I do not know how to get it apart or if it is even possible to get apart.

Fortunately it was only the vent window latch that snapped and not the window. They didn’t steal anything as there is nothing but a piece of scrap wood in the cab. They also opened that gas cap, but didn’t steal any gas or put anything in the tank. It happened while it was in storage lot it has sat at for more than two years. I hadn’t checked on it in three weeks and the owner of the lot said he will look at the footage. That is a lot of time to look through so he nor I expect for anything to be found.

The steering wheel lock is a new edition to the truck since it is not longer secure. You can see the scrape marks on the window channel where they used a pry bar or something to pop the window open.

I am just that they didn’t steal the thing, as I love this truck way more than any rational man should and it would be heartbreaking to lose it.

I suggest you move it for a while.

They may have just been trying to find a way in and determining whether it was worth their while to come back for it or not. EG: Checking if there was gas in it.

I’m surprised they broke that, wing windows are so easy to break into without doing damage. I locked my Keys in my Dads old truck and often got in through the wing window. First time a Cop stopped and yelled instructions across the road to me, as I had gotten into the wing window, but was trying to unlock the door. The cop pointed out roll down the window.

It is located in a locked lot with a gate requiring codes to get in and out and cameras on the gates, but I definitely am thinking about moving it. I also don’t see it being worth anyone’s time stealing it, but a thief is not the most logical person.

Carpart.com you will probably have to order the whole vent window. Maybe not. Check who has something and call them to verify it is what you need
